Ermine Ameraucana Hatching Eggs – The Little Dalmatians of the Coop!
Introducing the Ermine Ameraucana, an exciting new project breed that’s nearing APA approval! With their striking black-and-white speckled pattern, I like to call them my little Dalmatians.
Important Breeding Information:
Ermine Ameraucanas are not as straightforward to breed as BBS (Blue Black Splash) varieties. Unlike BBS, where Splash-to-Splash results in 100% Splash offspring, Ermine genetics work differently, making them more challenging to predict.
When hatching from my eggs, you can expect a mix of three possible colors:
✅ Ermine – The distinctive black-and-white speckled pattern
✅ Black – Solid-colored offspring
✅ Dominant White – A unique variation, not to be confused with the recessive White Ameraucana. These birds have pinkish legs, setting them apart from the SOP White Ameraucana.

This is my 3rd? Time ordering and as usual, the customer service was excellent, packaging bomb proof and shipping speed way fast. She takes time to ensure the eggs are packaged in a way that keeps them safe from elements, mishandling etc. ask me about the last order I watched my mail carrier literally throw around while looking for it 🤦🏻♀️ still got a 95% hatch rate! The birds she produces are hardy, friendly and gorgeous. I’ve ordered hatching eggs from all over. There’s a reason I’ll keep coming back for more here, for good.
So happy with the ermine ameraucana eggs! They arrived super well packed and double boxed! Even with fedex somewhat rough handling of the box and leaving it sideways at my house all the eggs arrived intact! I have nine of them developing really well!
Ordered a half dozen Ermine eggs and received 7. Packed extremely well, shipped pretty much the next day after order. Cannot wait to see what happens at hatch.
I was lucky enough to order half a dozen Ermine hatching eggs this year. I love ameraucanas and these little babies looked to beautiful to pass up. I received seven eggs perfectly packaged in a very thoughtful and gorgeous packing. This only increased my excitement to see what was inside. The eggs were perfectly colored and I could tell they were not pullet eggs, the eggs were clean and large. Six of the seven eggs hatched, four were Ermine and two were black. My birds are now three months old and they are even more beautiful than I ever dreamed. I am so thankful to have this great addition to my flock. Thank you Freshly Picked Chicks for such sweet tempered, adorable birds.
I ordered a dozen and received 14 Ermine Ameracauna eggs. They were shipped quickly. Packaging was amazing, and I got 8 healthy, strong chicks out of it! So excited and will be ordering more eggs in the future.
