A little mystery, a whole lot of color, and some of the prettiest surprises you'll ever hatch!
Our Who's Your Daddy (WYD) Dozen is collected from our open flock here at Freshly Picked Chicks. This flock includes extra purebred and project hens, along with roosters from our breeding programs, all running together.
The result? A fun mix of genetics, beautiful egg colors, and chicks that can be full of surprises!
Some of the most gorgeous birds I've hatched have come from this flock. I've seen offspring grow up to lay everything from bright blues and beautiful greens to deep, speckled chocolate eggs. That's part of what makes these dozens so much fun!
🥚 What Can You Expect?
- Egg Colors: A surprise assortment of shades that may include blues, greens, olives, browns, chocolates, and speckles.
- Breeds: Mixed-breed offspring from our open flock of purebred and project birds.
- Chick Appearance: A wide variety of colors, patterns, and feather characteristics.
- Future Egg Colors: The possibilities are exciting, but depend on the genetics each chick inherits.
- Every dozen is different! Egg colors and combinations depend on what my girls are laying at the time your order is collected.
🐣 What's Included?
Each dozen includes 12 hatching eggs plus 2 bonus eggs, when available.
As I have extra eggs from my individual breeding pens, I may tuck a few of those into your order as well! These will be labeled so you know exactly what they are. Breeding-pen extras are a fun bonus, not a guarantee.

Who's Your Daddy is all about the surprise! The photos show examples of eggs I've collected and shipped, but your assortment will be unique.

What a phenomenal experience. I ordered 2 dozen "whos your daddy dozens". The seller shipped the eggs and they arrived within a few days. The packaging was amazing and very well thought out to avoid all risk of broken eggs. There was 2 eggs saddly broken, but that is a risk you take with shipped eggs. I 100% find the seller not at fault. They eggs were gorgeous and mimicked the color wheel. Communication with the seller was impeccable and all my questions were answered promptly via email. 100/10 will be ordering again and would definitely reccomend! My eggs are still in incubator and we have 16 more days to go. Fingers crossed for at least a 50% hatch rate!
I loved my first order of Who's Your Daddy hatching eggs! I got the most stunning chicken in my flock out of those eggs! (Pic below!). I have a broody satin silkie girl and I don't have any eggs of my own that I'm wanting to hatch right now. So I just bought a half dozen more of these Who's Your Daddy eggs for my girl!
Eggs arrived perfectly packaged in pristine condition! Wonderful communication from the seller with e-mails letting me know the status of my order. Eggs are currently in the incubator and will be candled in five more days. Can't wait to see what hatches and the beautiful colors of Eggs I will get!
The fertility was amazing! 12 out of 14 eggs developed and had 9 amazing strong healthy chicks hatch. Highly recommend!!
Beautiful variety of colors. All received intact on my birthday! I've received answers and help, from this wonderful company! I'm hoping for happy hatching. First time hatching for me. I've had 4 Ayam Cemani's a couple years back. Roweena, Yolanda, Betty and Leggs. I loved my girls. Due to family /home issues. I gifted them to the family that bought my place. I still get updates on them but miss them a lot. I'm excited to raise babies and give cuddles. Should see signs of hatching around the end of the first week in January and Ill update my post. with pictures. The temp has been 99-100, humidity has been challenging. I keep it covered all the time so they stay cozy :) wish me luck!
