Isabel Ameraucana Hatching Eggs
Soft Lavender, Creamy Yellow & Beautiful Blue Eggs! š
If you've never seen an Isabel Ameraucana in person, you're missing out! Their soft pastel coloring is absolutely gorgeous, and they are easily one of my favorite Ameraucana varieties.
Isabel Ameraucanas combine Lavender and Wheaten genetics, creating a beautiful combination of lavender, creamy yellow, and soft lilac feathering.
- Males: Lavender bodies with creamy lemon-colored hackles, saddles, and wings.
- Females: Soft lilac bodies with lavender tails and wings, topped with beautiful creamy yellow hackles.
Besides being gorgeous, my Isabels are curious, friendly birds that always seem to want to know what I'm doing!
š£ My Breeding Program
My original Isabel Ameraucana breeding stock came directly from Luanne D'Amico at Eight Acre Farm, who developed this beautiful variety.
One thing that's important to understand about Isabels is that the Lavender gene can contribute to feather fragility. Periodically breeding back to Wheaten can help improve feather quality and maintain a healthier breeding line.
I do keep a few birds that are split for Wheaten in my breeding pen. This means there is a small chance you could hatch a Wheaten-colored bird carrying Lavender rather than a visually Isabel chick.
If you're planning to breed Isabel Ameraucanas, don't overlook those splits! They can be valuable for maintaining feather quality in future generations.

Ordered 6 and received one extra egg; all but one are developing! Very impressive for shipped eggs. Eggs were immaculately packed and arrived quickly and intact via FedEx.
I ordered half a dozen Isabel Ameraucana hatching eggs and received seven beautifully wrapped and packaged. The eggs were clean and large in size, Six of the seven hatched and three months later I have what is now one of my favorite amerucana breeds, next to the ermines I hatched from Freshly Picked Chicks of course. These birds are elegant and graceful in color. Their personalities are sweet and gentle. Bonus and completely unpredictable, but five turned out to be pullets! Score!! I highly recommend if you are looking for a beautiful addition to your flock.
