Isabel Ameraucana's are a cross between Lavender and Wheaten and are absolutely stunning! Their pastel colors are just breathtaking to look at. The males are Lavender with creamy lemon hackles and saddles and wings. On the female, the tail and wings are lavender, the hackles creamy yellow, and the body is a pinkish lilac.
Isabels are my curious ones, the first to run up and check things out. This beautiful creation is by Luanne D'Amico and she has done a beautiful job with these colors. All of our birds are from her stock. Isabels should be periodically bred back to Wheaten to improve feather weakness caused by the Lavender gene.
