All chicks are sold straight run unless otherwise noted.
Straight run means chicks are not sexed—there’s a natural mix of males and females, and we can’t guarantee how many of each you’ll receive. You CAN request and order DNA gender testing and I can take the blood sample before they ship. I will do my best to get results to you before you receive your chicks

Minimum: 6 chicks per order LOOK AT YOUR WEATHER, DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU ARE BELOW FREEZING NEXT WEEK
Maximum: 40 chicks per order. (There MAY be additional shipping after 15 chicks and I can invoice that separately)
Shipping is Express Mail and is $95. Includes box, pad, heat, grow gel
Live Arrival Guarantee: I guarantee live arrival! Chicks must be picked up at the destination Post Office within 2 hours of arrival. To qualify for the guarantee you must take time-stamped photos & video at the Post Office showing the exterior of the box, the shipping label, and the contents (see full policy below). If a loss occurs, contact me immediately with the required media and we’ll work with you and the carrier to make it right.

We carefully pack each order to ensure your chicks arrive healthy, warm, and ready to thrive.
What we guarantee
- We guarantee that chicks shipped from Freshly Picked Chicks will arrive alive at the destination Post Office.
- The guarantee applies only if the customer picks up the chicks from the Post Office within 2 hours of the carrier’s arrival and follows the evidence procedures below.
How to preserve your guarantee — REQUIRED steps
- Pick up within 2 hours — The chicks must be collected from the post office the same day they arrive, and no later than 2 hours from the carrier’s delivery time shown by the Post Office. If you do not pick up within 2 hours, the guarantee is void.
- Take photos & video at the Post Office (time-stamped if possible). At minimum, capture:

- A photo of the exterior box showing the shipping label/PO barcode (so arrival date/time/location is clear).
- A photo of the sealed box on the counter or with the clerk, before opening.
- A short video opening the box at the Post Office or immediately after leaving the PO that clearly shows the inside of the box, count of live chicks, and the condition of each chick. Narrate what you see (e.g., “Here’s the box, I’m opening it now — I count X live chicks”).
- If any chicks are dead or injured, take close-up photos and a short video of each deceased/injured chick (do not discard them).
3. Save the paperwork — Keep your Post Office receipt and any paperwork the clerk provides.
4. Report immediately — Contact us within 24 hours of the Post Office arrival time with the photos, video, order number, and your name. (If you cannot find us, reply to your order confirmation email or the phone number on your invoice.)
What we will do
- Once you provide the required photos/videos and proof of timely pickup, we will evaluate the claim and offer either a replacement chick (when available) or a refund for the deceased birds’ per-bird value, at our discretion.
- Shipping charges are non-refundable. We will assist you with filing an insurance/claim with the carrier; most shipments are insured, and a carrier claim may be required.
Important conditions & exclusions
- The guarantee is void if chicks are not picked up within 2 hours of carrier arrival or if the required photos/videos were not taken at the Post Office.
- The guarantee does not cover problems that occur after you pick up the chicks (improper brooding, heat/water issues, predator, or medical issues unrelated to shipping). Once chicks are in your care, you assume responsibility.
- Failure to provide clear, time-stamped photos/videos or the Post Office receipt may limit or void the guarantee.
- Carrier delays, extreme weather, or Post Office handling beyond our control may affect arrival — we will still assist with claims but the guarantee’s remedies require compliance with the steps above.

I am so happy. They are so beautiful. Perfect little fluff bundles. They shipped to me in under 24 hours. They didn't even spend a full day in the shipping box.
